Carl Frampton Out Classes Kris Hughes
Unbeaten Commonwealth super bantam weight boxing champion Carl Frampton
(12-0, 8 KO’s) had an easy time in beating 5’11” southpaw challenger Kris Hughes
(15-2, 1 KO’s) on Saturday night at the York Hall, Bethnal Green, London, UK.
Frampton, 24, used his speed and power advantage to pummel the taller, weaker Hughes from the start of the fight and Hughes was never really able to get into the fight due to his lack of power.
In the 7th, Frampton put Hughes down with a right hand. The fight was then halted by referee Mark Green.
Frampton is a possibility for the undercard of the March 17th fight between Matthew Macklin and Sergio Martinez.
